Covered Bridge

The Covered Bridge is in a fast-growing subdivision on the outskirts of the once-rural Windsor, Wisconsin. It is situated near Highway 51, the bustling subdivision, and a cornfield.

The barn-like structure pays homage to the rural roots of the community. It includes 20-foot trusses and a real corrugated metal grain bin as the main entrance to the 91 apartment units above one level of parking.

The building is four stories of wood framing on one level of precast and slab-on-grade concrete. The barn-like façade is constructed of Hardie siding and thin stone masonry.
